Bali, 6/11/2018 – The World Conference on Creative (WCCE) participants was invited to enjoy nostalgic songs through Bekraf’s Digital Pavilion. Not only to enjoy the song, visitors can also watch short-duration films up to six minutes with the theme of social criticism. Combining entertainment and technology, the Digital Pavilion is a collaborative program of the Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy (Bekraf) with Irama Nusantara and Minikino as the curator for lifting national short songs and films.
Thousands of songs from the 1940s until the 1980s are spread out at several points in the Creativillage, stealing visitors attention. “The first time opening Minikino there was a video on Indonesia’s wealth so it added new insights,” Amel, one of Creativillage’s visitors, said on Tuesday (6/11).
The World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) is the first international-level conference on creative economy initiated by Indonesia. The event held on the 6-8 November 2018 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) is attended by representatives from over 30 countries and more than 2,000 participants. It brings the theme Inclusively Creative by raising five main issues, namely social cohesion, regulation, marketing, ecosystems, and financing of the creative industry. The outcome of WCCE will also formulate the Bali Declaration which will be proposed to the UN General Assembly next year. This is expected to further strengthen the ecosystem and support the development of the world’s creative economy, acknowledging that the world has entered a new era. (Asiska/Betha/Penni)
