Find The Ghosts of Indonesia Through DreadEye Virtual Reality

Indonesia is a country known as an archipelago that is rich in cultural diversity. Consisting of various tribes and races, culinary peculiarities in each region, diverse regional languages, and not to mention: Ghosts. Yes, ghost!

Indonesian ghosts are no less frightening than ghosts in other countries. This was realized by game developers in Indonesia. Some Indonesian game studios have created horror games that include ghosts with Indonesian heritage, one of which is called DreadOut. The survival horror game developed by Digital Happiness released in May 2014 was a breakthrough for the horror genre in Indonesia. DreadOut was a huge success and several times became the first in the Indonesian game industry. First successful in crowdfunding on IndieGogo, first breakthrough in Steam Greenlight (now changing to Steam Direct) and finally releasing it on Steam, some of them. Now, this game is downloaded more than 270,000 times (based on SteamSpy data). Not including its DLC, Keepers of the Dark which also successfully sold more than 150,000 copies. Success with DreadOut, the Bandung game developer then released the latest horror game, titled DreadEye. DreadEye is a horror game with virtual reality technology, or VR.

If DreadOut tells the story of a group of high school students who get lost to find a lonely old town, DreadEye tells of a witch doctor who will perform a number of odd rituals, to open dimensional gates and communicate with spirits.

Not only DreadEye, another worldwide horror game from Bandung is Ghost Parade. Created by Lentera Nusantara Studio, this game was managed to penetrate the international scene through the (B2B) Game Connection America 2018 in San Francisco, United States on April 19-21 2018.

Through this International event, Bekraf successfully introduced Ghost Parade to Aksys Game. In the upcoming 2019, Aksys Game will release Ghost Parade to the world through various platforms, such as the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation4, and PC via Steam.

Unlike two games before, Ghost Parade tells the story of a ghost girl named Suri who tries to go home. To complete the game, Suri have to find a way out that will be guided by the other ghost characters. In one condition, Suri have to help the other ghosts to reclaim the forest from human.
